Technology for a Clean Mobility Future
MECA is a nonprofit trade association of companies that supply clean mobility technologies that reduce the environmental footprint of all mobile vehicles and equipment, including passenger cars and trucks, commercial vehicles and off-road equipment. MECA is a source of scientifically sound technical information to help enable clean mobility by improving energy and fuel efficiency and reducing pollution through the use of electric technologies, advanced combustion and emission controls.

Controlling the “Silent Threat” in BS7 – Evaporative and Refueling Emissions Throughout India, petrol-fueled internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles emit non-exhaust evaporative and refueling volatile organic compound (VOC) emissions at levels which significantly exceed tailpipe exhaust emission. During periods of heat waves, when air quality is often most unhealthy and severe, petrol-fueled ICE vehicles in […]
Washington, D.C. – MECA congratulates the companies that gave rise to the clean mobility evolution as we commemorate the 50th anniversary of the invention of advanced emission control technology for passenger vehicles, when a handful of suppliers began selling the substrates, mixed oxide coatings, precious metals, and metal housings that make up a catalytic converter […]
MECA supports multiple pathways to simultaneously improve air quality while decarbonizing transportation. In furtherance of this goal, we are a partner in the Hydrogen Internal Combustion Engine (H2ICE) Consortium, which includes OEMs, hydrogen producers, lubricant additive suppliers and clean mobility suppliers working side-by-side to develop a zero carbon fuel ultra-low emissions truck. This week, the […]
